Conference Call Etiquette For A Business Meeting
Here, I will share my experience with you on the decorum required. I learnt what not to do from my first conference call and what to do from the second. My first experience with a conference call was on sales strategy with corporate office. I logged into the conference bridge as per the agreed schedule, but soon realized that most of the other attendees were late. Some people I could not identify were talking, adding to the noise in the background. Some were even eating and drinking maybe tea or coffee, making the environment less than business-like. To top it all, I found the leader had no control over the proceedings. Needless to say, there was no outcome of the conference call. The whole session was unorganized, there were unnecessary arguments and misunderstandings and no decision could be takenSoon there was a mail from VP- planning office, rescheduling the same conference to a week later. This time, there was a 7 point agenda for the conference call clearly listed, along with the ex

How Do I Buy a Domain Name?
Q: I'd like to buy a domain, but I discovered that it's already registered by a bulk domain buying company (just check negres.com). I tried to contact them but I have received no answer.Do you know how much these companies charge in average for a domain? Or are they focused on the traffic and clicks and will not let it go?Any recommended approach to bid for the domain?A: This is a tough one because domain names, unless you have a legal claim on them, exist in a pure commodity marketplace. What I mean is: the value of a domain is defined solely by its perceived value to the buyer. If you wanted to buy one of my unused domains (for example, "BABY.NET" which is for sale, actually) then I might ask $20 for it, or I might ask $200,000 for it, or, who knows, $2mil. What's it worth? Well, that depends. If you're a huge company with a massive marketing budget and are passionate about obtaining this exact domain then $500,000 might be a fair market price for it. But t
Did you know you can increase your odds of winning your Social Security (SSA) Disability case by more than 50% if you are represented by an attorney? Simply put, that’s a dramatic difference and one that every Social Security disability applicant should heed.

Congressional and SSA’s own statistics confirm this statement is true. The statistic came to light in November 2001, during Congressional testimony provided by Congressman Robert T. Matsui of California. During the hearing Congressman Matsui provided the following testimony:

“Professional representation is a valuable-and indeed vital-service. The disability determination process is complex. Claimants without professional representation appear to be far less likely to receive the benefits to which they are entitled. For example, in 2000, 64% of claimants represented by an attorney, but only 40% of those without one, were awarded benefits at the hearing level.”[1]

    Settle Your Debt
If you find yourself in heavy debt and are considering bankruptcy, you should look into debt settlement. Debt settlement is where you contact your creditors and explain your situation. You make them an offer to settle your debt for a lower amount than what you actually owe.Why would a company be willing to take a smaller amount than what you owe them? They know that if you go into bankruptcy it is unlikely that they will see any money from you. If you owe $5000 with an additional $2000 in late fees, they may be very happy to get $3500 from you. They have lost money, but $3,500 is much better than 0.When you do debt settlement it can still make a negative impact on your credit rating. After all anytime you don't pay money that you owe it doesn't look good. In some situations you may be able to negotiate pieces of the debt settlement that will keep your credit score looking good or at least not as bad as it would be if you went bankrupt. If you are in trouble and are looking a

Email Marketing and Web Communication: Ten Key Tips to Get Your Messages Read
There’s an old saying ‘Manners maketh the man (or woman)’ and this still applies in the 21st Century, even though everything now seems to happen twice as fast. Most people respond much better if you treat them respectfully. People appreciate being spoken to politely and you can definitely include consumers here. Yes, if you are into Internet marketing, it may be a hi-tech world, where bits and bytes circle the globe in the blinking of an eye, but people still respond better to being spoken to as a friendly equal. This particularly goes for language in advertisements. Here are some important things to remember when you are emailing someone with a sales pitch.1. DON’T YELL WITH CAPITALS: By all means use ‘caps’ in your message to highlight key points, but don’t write whole sentences in capitals. This is the online equivalent of screaming in someone’s ear. Bolding key points is a much better alternative to capitalizing.2. Be TIDY With FORMATTING: I read a lot of sa

Please understand I am not suggesting that you must have an attorney in order to win your disability case. People can and do win their cases on their own. In fact, SSA does not require you to have an attorney, you can represent yourself; but why on earth would you? Congressional and SSA’s own statistics show dramatic differences in the outcomes of cases depending on whether an attorney is involved.

I have debated for years on whether to write an article on why one should hire a disability attorney. I did not want the article to be viewed as self-serving for either myself or my profession. I am aware of the unfortunate stature attorneys hold in our society, some of which is deserved. I always enjoy the look in a person’s eyes when they learn I am an attorney; it is clear they are searching their mind to share the latest attorney joke…and most are very funny!

However, the testimony of Congressmen Matsui
