Making Criminals Out of Human Beings in America
So often we are quick as a society to judge our fellow man and to condemn anything that is not like us? If we are Christians we judge Muslims and Jews? If we are Black we judge whites and Hispanics. If we are poor we judge the rich. It is always someone else’s fault. You know we also do this with criminals don’t we? Recently this topic of conversation came up in an online think tank when a member stated; “The public has the perception of us vs. them with respect to law-breakers.”Well it is human nature to categorize things. “Criminal” is a word, which is a label, it is a noun representing a “person” and therefore used to categorize. This is how the human brain does things, how it decides where to commit something to memory an

    Where Businesses Fall Short
    1. No vision. Successful businesses have a clear vision or picture of their business purpose and mission. Your vision serves as a roadmap to help you see where you are today in relationship to where you want to be tomorrow. Your business plan serves as the mechanism that will help you to bridge the gap. When you don’t have a clear vision as to why you’re in business or where you intend to take your business, it’s like taking a road trip without a map. When you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll waste a lot of time, money, and energy trying to find the right road leading to your destination. A well-defined vision will help you stay focused and on track.2. No niche. One of the most common reasons for business failure stem
Coming off of the year we went from a super heated market to stone cold the big question in real estate circles is how the Sacramento market will perform in 2007. The Sacramento Bee’s story this morning by Jim Wasserman, “Hope seen on home front,” details the slowing of price declines in January. There are others who don’t have as much hope for the market and continue to pound the collapse mantle by pointing out the increase in foreclosure activity as the tool of doom.

Looking at MLS data released earlier this week by the Sacramento Association of Realtors showed new listings in January up over 75 percent from December and an almost 20 percent growth in inventory. This is normal and expected as we move out of the holiday season and end of year rush. Compared to January 2005 there were less new listings (2.9 percent) and current inventory is down 4.8 percent from last year to 4,926. The median price paid in January is virtually the same as December but down 3.5 percent from 2005 to $355,000. The complete report is available on the SAR website.

In Placer County the MLS data for single family homes shows the same pattern as Sacramento County. There were 826 new listings in Placer County during January. This is more than twice the amount as reported in December but up only 48 listings from last January. Inventory was up 3.4 percent to 2,178, from December and up 17.5 percent from a year ago. During January there were 211 closed transactions accounting for a median price of $430,000. This is a 30 percent decline in month-over-month closings and 2.2 percent decline in the median price paid. Compared to a year ago the current closings are down almost 14 percent and the median price paid is off 6.9 percent. The above MLS data is available on the Placer County Association of Realtors website.

Factors Affecting you Motorcycle Insurance Premium
Though it isn’t officially required in several states, many motorists prefer to get a motorcycle insurance. It is a good and extremely significant coverage in case the inevitable happens. After all, simply being careful while driving your motorcycle and wearing safety gears isn’t the only insurance you need. Most of us are aware that motorcycles have higher rate of accidents per unit distance compared to cars. This is because of the exposed driver and the reality that most vehicle drivers are unable to see these smaller driving machines in the traffic line.If you are transferring to a new state or you have just purchased a motorcycle, you should check first the insurance law of your state before whooshing down the road with y

Lifelock- The Truth Behind The New LifeLock Identity Theft Service
Lifelock is probably the only identity theft protection agency in the United States that is being covered by the media - mentioned in over 250 news stories featured in The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Wired, CBS Early Show and ABC News Now, among others. It's not just because CEO Todd Davis broadcasts his social security number in advertisements vis a vis the fact that CEOs of similar companies have refused to do the same when requested by the media. It's also because LifeLock has been very successful in providing protection to its clients, and reducing pre-approved credit cards in their mail.Businesses too have experienced similar success with LifeLock in terms of protecting the identities of its employees.W

Public Relations; Mobile Auto Detailing and Community
Does it make sense for a mobile auto detailing company to be concerned about its image in the community and participate in a public relations campaign? It certainly does and all businesses can gain from such. Consider this case study if you will. A mobile auto detailing company decides to participate in a Neighborhood Mobile Watch Community Policing Program. But why, is it really a good fit? Sure it is and here is why;The Detail Guys work on cars at car lots, parking structures, park and rides, and park and flys. They drive around all day and are often parked in a lot for many hours detailing vehicles. They work on busy car lots near busy intersections and often witness hit and runs, accidents and questionable activities. They know

Corporate Loans - Funding Industrial Growth
If individuals thought that they were the only ones who had the use for loans, then corporate loans will show them that they are incorrect. The corporates, who are deemed to have a large surplus of cash, too find themselves at the mercy of the loan providers (though not in the strictest sense of the word). The use for corporate loans may emerge out of two reasons. Firstly, there maybe a shortage of cash and the loan is required to substitute the cash shortage. Secondly, they feel that the cash balance will find more productive uses if the task at hand is accomplished with a loan. The position of the corporates is not as vulnerable as that of ordinary individuals, when it comes to getting Zillow has developed a home valuation index they call Zindex in an effort to set a median value on all homes in a given geographic area not just the homes that were sold during the period.

Regardless of what you think about Zillow, their Zestimates it is an interesting concept and worth looking at.

In Sacramento County where we just learned the median price paid for a home in December was $355,000 the Zindex for the same area at the end of the year was $357,148. By the way this is down from $371,148 reporte
