Persist to Achieve Pay Off In Your Business
Do you give up easily? Do you decide to take the easy way out? When the others run off to the bar for early refreshments on a Friday afternoon, are you with them? Or, are you the type that makes phone calls right up to the end of the day just before the weekend, hoping to catch a decision maker sitting at their desk. If you are the type that leaves work early, takes the easy way out or gives up then perhaps you need a lesson in persistence.I once attended a business session put on by a training compa

The Face of Your Business, Part I
When we initially started our businesses, we had to decide how we were going to market ourselves. Kind of an obvious statement - every business has to do that. But, we had an added challenge. We were new to the area. So, our goal was to get to know as many people as possible. We did that by becoming "promiscuous networkers". We attended and joined any and every association we could afford. This was GREAT for meeting people. After a few months, we could walk into a room and just about everyone would recog
I was talking to a friend of mine who had invested in a very high end coaching program last year. As I was asking him about his experience and what incentivized him to invest in his growth he said, 'I knew if I really wanted to take my game to a whole new level, I had to do things VERY differently. Even though the coaching was good, it was surrounding myself with 8 other people that were challenging ME to play the game full-out that was the payoff.' This is a guy who consistently generates a high six to seven figure income each year.

It got me thinking about how I played my game in 2006. I already surround myself with people playing a bigger game every year. I have a mastermind group who constantly challenges me to think bigger. But what specifically did I do that helped me double my income this year, get asked to speak at multiple conferences and produce three new programs?

How To Prepare To Win With Your Business
It’s been my experience that most entrepreneurs miss a very important step when it comes to the success of their business: they fail to plan. When you are your business, it’s extremely easy to get caught up in putting out the latest fire or being distracted by the newest email. (I’m so guilty of this one that I now turn my email off when I’m working on anything but email!). In order to be really on an energy track of pulling in clients and growing our business, we must plan. Some professionals

    Legal Interview Questions
I’d describe legal interview questions as ones that might appear a bit iffy but are actually acceptable depending on the specific job or industry you are interviewing for and depending on where you live and employment laws that apply. Some of the legal interview questions you can be asked might be ones we’ve already discussed on this site. Some questions might simply be part of the interview process to help the employer gauge your suitability for the position and your suitability to join the company and

Boost Your Profits Instantly With Your Own Credit Card Reader Writer
With the increase of home-based and new, independent businesses being introduced, the need for obtaining a credit card reader / writer is also growing. The modern credit card readers and writers have in large quantities replaced the old style readers. Who remembers the old-fashioned type of credit card readers where the merchant had to put the credit card on top of the layered paper receipt with all of its carbon copies in the placeholder and slide the plastic arm over the card and receipt with one swoop? 1. Be ruthless with your time.
Whenever I'm coaching a client or giving an interview, people ask me my secret to accomplishing so much. It's ruthless time management. I only say yes to things that align with my goals, values and high payoff activities. It may sound harsh but it's what works. Two opportunities I said no to that were hard but lightened my load: letting go of running the networking group in Los Angeles and turning down an all expense paid trip to Australia. Both generated revenue - but neither aligned with my 'criteria' for success.

    2. Focus on what you DO want.
I've manifested everything from a dream trip to Europe to attracting speaking opportunities and powerful marketing alliances. It wasn't always that way. Years ago I would ruminate about what I didn't want. I use a few tools to keep my brain pow
