Tired of your boss barking orders at you? Thinking of telling them all to “shove it” so you can start your own business and answer to no one but yourself? You’re not alone. Millions of people dream of going into business for themselves and becoming the next great entrepreneur success story. The United States has long been a nation of innovators and entrepreneurs, dating back to the days when steel and railroad tycoons ruled the world. The sad part for people who are stuck in mindless jobs is that it robs them of creativity. Did our founding fathers come here for a job? No! There were no jobs, there were only opportunities and possibilities. What is your vision? What is your dream? Take positive action on it, even if it is only little baby steps. If you have an idea or a dream, the best way to start is by writing it down on paper. Put your idea in writ What Does Your Environment Say About You And Your Business? Do you have an idea or vision for the future? Does your idea fire you up and excite you? I am not talking about an ordinary level of excitement, I am talking about burning passion to see your idea turn into reality. Do you believe in your idea? More importantly, do you believe in yourself? I am talking about serious faith in your idea and your ability to turn it into reality. If you don’t, you probably won’t.Even though this is the last issue in our series on mindset, the topic itself is always there because every action we take is born from a thought we had first. What we think comes from how we think. For example, becoming successful starts with thinking you’re going to be successful, which was born from the idea that you can be successful. No one goes into business thinking they’re going to fail.An interesting twist on this is that in order to be successful, we have to Someone once said: “If you can think it, you can achieve it” I would add to that statement: “If you believe it”… and the most important “it” is you. It’s the old wood stove concept: Put in a little wood, get a little heat. Put in a lot of wood, get a lot of heat. You will reap what you sow and not always the way you think. Most people fail at taking their idea to market. Thomas Edison failed about 10,000 times before he was successful at inventing the light bulb. Someone once said: “Winners never quit and quitters never win” I would add to that statement “If you never start, you will never know”… most people do not act on their ideas. They have all kinds of excuses: not enough money, not enough time, not enough education, not enough experience, not enough talent, etc. A more truthful statement would be not enough excitement and belief in their idea or themselves or the willingness to do the hard things required of success. Success is not easy success is hard. It demands much and it tests those willing to pursue it… You will pay a price for self-made success. That’s why most people get a job. They are unwilling to pay the price and settle for working for others, they settle for the illusion of security of a regular paycheck. Most people who work a job are mired in debt, slaves to credit cards and bank loans. What does their hard work and job security really do for them? The truth is that most people (95% of society) follow the followers and get a job because that is what they are taught to do. While the truly financially wealthy (about 5% of society) are leaders, people who had an idea and a vision and got it done. They paid the price.
