Dear Job-Seeker:Just as Goldilocks was suspicious of the big bad wolf, be wary of the big bad word! You know the kind. Pursuant. Heretofore. Credence and all their contagious cousins! Unless you keep your guard up, these little pests will infest your cover letters like termites in a wood pile! Don't let them.Remember, employers are regular folks--just like you and me. Culture Eats Strategy For Lunch
I was speaking to group in Atlanta recently and this phrase was stated to me after my speech by one of my audience members….”Culture eats strategy for lunch”.I was compelled by what this meant, especially as regards processes such as customer service. Simply put, the statement implies that companies who establish a particular culture in their business will be superior in practice than those who forsake culture for strategy or process. Culture will win every time.Take a look at the finest companies in providing service, such as LL Bean, Nordstrom
It has been almost 2 years since I last visited this topic, and to my amazement, this problem has grown to enormous proportions. Napster, Morpheus, Bearshare, Kazaa… Sound familiar? Well the originals are still available, but the new kids on the block that are really making a stir are Shareaza, iMesh, ZeroPaid, Xolox and then of course the Bit Torrent family.

So I ask, “how many of you out there have installed peer-to-peer file sharing applications on your home or office computers?”

Do you really know what you are doing when you install these “Free” programs? Admit it or not. You, I, and millions of others have utilized the Napster days or the modern Shareaza era for the benefit of “borrowing” music, video, software and many other data based mediums available. “To what end,” I ask you? On-Line Employee Time Attendance - Good or Bad!
When we talk about web based solutions in workforce management industry the first is time attendance. Lets walk through a few features of some of the solutions offered in the industry. When an employee submits timesheet on-line the softwares pops up the same in the managers pending approval section to approve or disprove it. The good thing about the system is it has the timesheet description wherein the manager can describe the employees timesheet. With this the request shows the date it was submitted, the total hours worked by the employee. Also it has a date

Living Your Brand on the Web - Part 1

Fire Branding Customers to Your Business
The idea of fire branding customers comes from my grand daughter, Taylor. She applied a tattoo to her shoulder and was pleased as she displayed a small peace symbol about the size of a peanut. Each time I looked at her shoulder, I was reminded of the little symbol and what it meant. It made me think about how great it would be to fire brand customers with my business name. I thought of countless ways of placing my logo around the world to spread the right image.I realized that several companies are fire branding their image everyday. All I have to do is

Yes it’s true. You can contract various technical illnesses by downloading files, especially in a peer-to-peer environment where you have no clue where the file is actually coming from.

Malicious code can easily piggy-back various file types and upon execution, install right into your PC or network. I have seen it happen. Right here in one of our local government offices, I witnessed a downloaded file spread through the network connection like wildfire. Luckily damage was limited due to somewhat of an anti-virus infrastructure.

The worst factors are the data processing elements that you do not see. Malicious code comes in all manners. New clever code can be deposited on your system and go unseen for long periods of time. And if your anti-virus programs are no
