    Franchisee Rights Groups to Join
Many people who have encountered issues in franchising as franchisees and faced formidable challenges from their franchisors have told me that they felt that the franchisees are not very well represented these days. Well some are disgruntled franchisees for one reason or the other, maybe their outlet is not turning a profit or even worse maybe it is failing nevertheless I do have a story to tell on this subject. You see, before my retirement, I worked with the AAFD American Association of Franchisees and Dealers, a Franchisee Rights Group and I saw what they were up to and how the coaxed these groups to form mini-Unions, called "Franchisee Associations" and how the lawyers would try to put together class-action lawsuits, collective bargaining and such.I remember in a meeting in New Orleans one year; I drove 2000 miles to meet with the AAFD Board of Directors, the only Franchisor (Board of Director Member at that time) who bothered to get involved to help franchisees rights at the Fair Franchising Standards Committee.I felt as if they were not interested in franchisee rights, they were interested in class-action lawsuits and suing franchisors
Now that the wedding date has been selected, are your Parents, in-laws and friends driving you crazy? For most couples, their wedding day is something to remember, cherish and reminisce about. For others, it strikes feelings of disappointment and regret, not because of whom they married, rather the details of their big day. I highly urge all couples to go for what they want, and not be persuaded by others providing their two cents. Here are some things to consider as you plan you magical day....

Unfortunately, I know first hand how important it is to choose what you truly want and not settle. As a new bride myself, I can't stress enough the importance of really doing what YOU love for your wedding. Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the most fun, memorable and important days of your life. Make sure what you're planning is as much for you as it is for those attending it. Many brides get caught up in pleasing their family and friends, which can later lead to anger, frustration and disappointment. Here are some tips so that you don't let it happen to you!

    1. Choose a location YOU love-Many brides get caught up in doing what others will like, I know, I am one of them! I dreamed of having a beach wedding in Florida where we now live, but ended up having an outdoor wedding in Toronto where I am from. Why? Because many key family members told me they couldn't afford the flight or get time off work. So, I opted for the next best thing. That ‘next best thing' has lived to haunt me a bit. Our wedding was lovely and it was still outdoors so I can't complain. We also tried to create a minor beach theme at the reception with shells, sand, candles and the like but it wasn't the same thing. In hindsight I should have done the beach wedding. If people cannot make it, they have to understand that that was their choice, we can't please everyone.

    2. Adore your Dress- Okay, so that $3,000 dress you have been eyeing in the magazines isn't going to fit your budget. Whatever your budget is, make sure you love your dress. You'll be wearing it in every photo and it is the most special dress you will ever wear. There are lots of great options ‘off the rack' which simply are dresses in a particular size that don't have to be ordered but are selected off of a rack. Try on different styles, colors and designs. What I thought I would wear looked far different on me and was not complimentary. Variety is best here. Know exactly what type of detail you like on dresses. Are you traditional? Budget Conferencing Solutions for Your Business
Would you be interested in finding out more about how technology can provide benefits and help lower costs for your business? Budget conferencing is a good example. Not only will budget conferencing help save you money on travel and meeting costs, it will actually help you conduct your business more profitably.Exactly what is conferencing? Conferencing is a way that you can use technology to communicate with partners and clients without actually having to meet face-to-face. There are at least three different kinds of conferencing: audio conferencing, video conferencing and web conferencing.Audio conferencing is the oldest kind of conferencing. It's really nothing more than what used to be known as a conference call. Audio conferencing uses telephones and speaker phones to enable a group of people to communicate in real time. Although this type of conferencing is somewhat limited, it remains quite effective and audio conferencing is still offered by many budget conferencing providers.Video conferencing, which made it possible for participants to actually see each other, was a big improvement when it was introduced. Find eBay Bargains You Won’t Believe
Finding the best possible deals on eBay isn’t rocket science, but it is a little harder than it used to be. The site’s popularity explosion has attracted hordes of sellers and it can be hard to sift through all of the available listings in order to find wonderful bargains. More and more buyers are joining the action, too, increasing the competition from other bidders--and prices--in many categories. That growth, however, has also created a powerful way to find deals you wouldn’t believe. If you want to find eBay bargains, you should consider looking for a common blunder among sellers: the misspelled listing. Most eBay shoppers search for products by entering descriptive phrases into the site’s search box. If you are looking for a diamond ring, for instance, you will probably search for “diamond ring.” That search will show you all of the items up for bid matching that description. What happens, however, if a seller lists a diamond ring and accidentally misspells is as a “dimond ring?” Your search for “diamond ring” won’t show that listing. All of those other people hunting for a diamond ring will miss out on the listing, too. The luck

The USA's Supreme Court's Diluted Laws
I’m not out to change anyone’s mind, and I’m sure I couldn’t’ anyway, we are all a little bent on how we see things I suppose, and now the time has come for a appointee for the Supreme Court, which is the President’s constitutional right to select; and of course, to be subject to questioning by the Supreme Court judges, and Senate. I guess if I believe in anything in America—I would go with the statement a CIA Agent made recently, and I can’t remember his name, but when he asked if he worked for the President of the United States, he said, “No, I work for the ‘Constitution of the United States.”’ I couldn’t have said it any better.Having said that, I look at all this fuss going on about President Bush’s selection for the Supreme Court; of course everyone on the left, or let’s say, those for Abortion Rights, are worried about Bush’s candidate; to the point, they are looking at religion; and they should be warned, they could be trespassing on his First Amendment rights of the candidate. I mean, does Bush have to select an atheist to appease the Democrats? I hope not; like Clinton, a president has the right to select any one he wants, providing he is qualif

A Mistake Not Worth Repeating For The New Freelancer
Many new freelancers who start out in their first projects have the unfortunate tendency to go in over their heads. I know for sure since it happened to… yours truly. I’m sure most freelancers can agree that when first starting out, they worry more about how you will find your next projects instead of focusing on the one they already have. Well, I happened to have found a quick project and upon looking at my qualifications, my employer thought it would be good to hire me for a different, longer term project. A freelancer’s dream, right? At least I thought so. It was my very first project and I thought I hit a home run at my very first at bat. Now, I’m a computer programmer/web developer, but I’ll spare the gory techie details for those of you not in this field. I started out being given usernames, passwords and my project assignment, uploading and installing certain website components. There were no other instructions and only the expectation of me to have them installed within a week. I didn’t ask too many questions nor were many asked of me when I went to work. After all, it seemed straightforward. Plus, I had the best working

(I thought it was the one only because it looked good and it was 65% off, now every time I look at my photos I wish I had chosen something else. Thankfully, I did choose the right HUSBAND however! )Make sure that the dress captures who you are and what you love.

    3. Bridesmaids Gowns-This is a touchy subject. Most brides struggle between having the girls wear what they have selected and allowing them to choose so they aren't cursing you on the wedding day. Let's remember that the wedding is about you and your fiance. Guess what? That means you have the freedom to choose what works best for your wedding. Perhaps you can provide the ladies with 6 or 7 options of colors and styles that you like. I rounded everyone up and we went to the bridal boutique. I knew the colors I wanted in the wedding. In the end, the color I chose looked great on all 3 girls. I did let them try on several styles so that we could agree on one dress. They all had different favorites however in the end I chose a halter style, which was opposite to what I was going to be wearing. This is the only day you get to pick everything-go for it!

    4. Parents & In-laws- Just because our parents have raised us since little girls does not give them the right to plan out our wedding, unless we desire that. Your parents might tell you it is there way or the highway since they are paying. You and your fianc? have to decide if you are willing to have a wedding that is not yours but paid for, or one that is all your own where you foot the bill. Remember when the wedding is paid for it usually involves inviting several people that you won't know, as they are family friends. Ask yourself if you are okay with that. I was fortunate not to be in this situation, however I had the opposite scenario where none of my family helped with the planning process which was equally as annoying! I did receive some financial support which came in handy but planning it all on my own with some execution from my bridesmaids was super stressful. Talk with your fianc? and decide what you want before the planning begins. If in-laws to be and your own parents get crazy, let them know you'd like to plan it on your own. Then, get your closest friends together to pitch in.
