This is the first of many Y or N questions and is filled in with a Y if the patient was admitted to the hospital after the ambulance ride. GA0 field 7, position 44, is the transportation type code. This is a special code that designates just how the patient was transported. GA0 field 8, position 45, is the bed confined before transport indicator. This is filled in with a Y if the patient was bed ridden before the ambulance ride. GA0 field 9, position 46, is the bed confined after transport indicator.
