Indeed, such comments and questions come up often in the Online Think Tank, I run and as well they should. Fore without the proper flows of civilization you really do not have civilization at all. So the question stands and is now being debated; are Giant Circular Hydro-Systems with Salt Water Purification possible?

As the water flows in it creates wave that converge as multiple points about 1/3 of the way to the center. At each one of these points is a Cylinder with a spinner inside of it.

The fresh water left over free from particles would be captured below the fling off points and escape from the blades at a lower level and collected by membrane sponges behind or rather below the blades. I hope this concept propels thought in 2007.
