With all the fear that existed in American business circles about the potential loss of labor and their intellectual capital, we now have a new problem and, if you are in your 30’s, you may be acutely aware of it.The number of workers in their 30’s is only 40 million,This means that if you are a Gen-X worker in your 30’s, your career path is blocked by a boomer (like me) in their 50’s.The good news is that companies caught discriminating against an aging worker will get hammered by the government, the bloggers and a million other constituents. They will embarrassed in the media and run the risk of losing access to valuable potential workers. The bad news is that where do you go? What is the upside for you? Basic Bookkeeping The way that you conduct yourself in a negotiation can dramatically the outcome. I've been teaching negotiating to business leaders throughout North America since 1982 and I've distilled this down to five essential principles. These principles are always at work for you and will help you smoothly get what you want:J. R. Baltiboi has observed that Bookkeeping is the art of recording business dealings in a set of books. Bookkeeping is the science and art of systematically recording, classifying and summarizing the financial transactions or events of a business in a set of books. A business transaction means the exchange of money or items of value between two or more persons. Anytime this occurs, bookkeeping comes into play.It has been noted that the process of accounting begins as the business transaction occurs. Once a business transaction takes place it is recorded in the books of accounts. This process starts with recording transactions in the primary-entry cash book, bank book, sales book, purchase book, debit note/credit notebook and journal. These are regarded as the books of primary entry where transactions are first recorded.Transactions are then posted to the ledger account. This is called the ledger posting. The balancing of each ledger account is done at periodic intervals which cannot be longer than one year. Many organizations do it on a monthly, quarterly or half-yearly basis. The trial balance is prepared from the ledger balances. In this statement, the totals of debits and credits must agree with each other. This is the test of arithmetical accuracy of recording, posting and totaling. The debits and credits must tally. Many necessary adjustments and provisions are made to ensure that accounting is done in conformity with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G A A P). These rules and regulations are universally adopted by the accountants in recording accounting transactions. These principles are always at work for you and will help you smoothly get what you want:But the question is; do you really want to?At present, being employed and working from home with absolutely no commute to the office is generally unheard of. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 10% of the NSW workforce Teleworks. This is where they still have to venture into their office, however also have the opportunities to take work home. It may sound like they get a great lifestyle, however, in truth, they still are bound by employer agreements- they still have to ask to have holidays, they still only get paid what their employer is willing to give them etc.Co- Owner of Memories 2 Movies; Kelly Mouriliyan; says ‘the reality is that employment from home is extremely hard to find. You need professional skills, and you are still required to commute into the office now and then. I decided to become my own boss and really set my own hours’.But before you even go down the path of looking around to start a business from home, there are a few things you should know before deciding that working from home is actually for you.*You will be in your house most of the day- every day. This could really start to suck! Your house should be your sanctuary and if you start to mix work with your home, your security and sanctuary could start to feel invaded.*You may have children running around and that can cause heaps of problems- especially if they get into things that they really shouldn’t (ie, products or papers etc) this can make it extra hard to talk on the phone or even appear professional to potential customers.*Your social contact will be limited- especially if you have an E- Business. You will be limited to staring at the computer and start calling your kids or friends ‘Google’ or start screaming out ‘Yahoo” at the top of your lungs, or something similar…..*Starting up a business will take loads of effort and time to set up and you will receive minimal profits for the first few months to years.Statistics from the ABS reveal that business survival can be limited by whether or not you have employees in your business. Of the new business entries in 2003-04, 50% of these new non-employing businesses were still going in June 2006, compared to 80% of new employing businesses. These principles are always at work for you and will help you smoothly get what you want:Some companies deal in designing bar code labels and selling them to other establishments. These bar code label manufacturers print both preprinted and custom designed labels according to the specifications provided by the ordering company.Preprinted labels are ready to use labels that are sold in the market. They are available in bundles of 100, 250, 500, etc. Bar code label manufacturers create preprinted labels with technologies such as reflective printing or photocomposition. Photocomposition is an expensive process, but it produces almost authentic and high quality bar codes. Bar code labels made by photocomposition are sold at higher prices than reflective labels. Companies that do not have their own bar coding equipment buy bundles of them from the market for their use.Manufacturers also customize bar code labels according to the requirements from the ordering company. They can change the size, color, numerical and alphabetical information, nature of the bar coding, etc. as the ordering company suggests. Information such as name of the company, date of shipment or loading, location, etc. is mentioned on customized bar code labels if needed. Manufacturers use specialized software to design the labels.Naturally, bar code label manufacturers use high-end equipment to manufacture their labels in bulk. Several companies rely upon bar code manufacturers to buy their labels as it not only saves them money, but also time and manpower.Computers, scanners and printers are all used in conjunction to design, test and print labels. Sequential numbers are provided on the labels so that they can be used to manage inventory. If desired, manufacturers will also place information in the form of alphabetical and numerical codes on the labels.Bar code label manufacturers also sell other things such as nameplates, location tags, sealing tags and bar code scanners and printers.
