    Trust Your Gut
Everybody thinks that being successful in developing and running their own business is all about having enough start-up and working capital, or the proper image that fits your market, or the right employees.Yup, being successful in running your own show does require a significant dose of all of those things. But, what I see missing most of all – and it just jumps out at me when I see people, either in their own businesses or as employees – is a willingness by that person to be themselves, and to trust their own instincts.I fight with this constantly in my own businesses, and

    Being Visible on a Budget
Once upon a time a company introduced a new product. They didn’t want their competition to know, so they didn’t advertise or even send out a news release. Sales of the new product were disappointing. The manufacturer was unhappy. What went wrong? Any thoughts? My answer is that this kind of “stealth marketing” doesn’t work. You need to be visible to sell something. When this manufacturer started promoting their new product, sales picked up.So visibility is good for business. But how do you get visible with limited resources? Here are some programs I recommend.1) Postc
Virtually everyone in sales is required to negotiate. After conducting hundreds of workshop and working with thousands of people during the last decade, I have discovered that most sales people are not as effective at negotiating as they could be.

However, I do come across great sales negotiators from time-to-time and have noticed that they typically have a few things in common. Here are the characteristics they usually possess.

Understanding of the negotiating process. Highly effective negotiators recognize that negotiating is a process, not just something that is done when discussing the terms and conditions of a solution. Negotiating is much more than haggling about price. It requires an understanding of the dynamics that affect the process and influence the behavior of people. Great negotiators invest time learning different tactics and strategies and how each technique contributes to the overall outcome.

Medical Transcriptionist - Are They Really In Demand?
The answer is an absolute "yes." But why is there a demand for medical transcriptionists? The answer to that question lies in social trends and the needs of those tending our aging population. There's no doubt that most people around the world are living longer, healthier lives. That's due in part to lifestyle changes. People simply realize the benefits of eating right, getting proper exercise and paying attention to their physical and emotional needs. The other reason for the longevity can be attributed to incredible strides in the health care industry. There are more health care options

Find The Windows - Succeed In The Negative World Of Network Marketing
The mind is such a power house and yet we don’t honor and use that power to its true potential. We over look who we really are…we become such busy bodies of how others are succeeding in the MLM world. From the minute that we are invited to join a network marketing venture, we’re asking, “Is this working for you?” “How many people are you bringing into the business?” “How much money are you making?” And on and on we go. Attend to your business and quit comparing yourself to others. One of the biggest set-backs to your success is concentrating on and asking yourself, “Why is this networkin

What the Heck is Branding and Why Should I Care?
There's been a lot of buzz lately about branding. But what exactly is it, and who needs to do it? Simply put, a brand is what makes your business uniquely YOU! It's the way you present your business and how the world perceives it. And, importantly, it's the way your clients remember you when it comes time to make another purchase. Branding encompasses your key marketing messages and tagline, logo, marketing materials, image, and your clients' complete experience with you from start to finish.Do you think branding is just for those big companies, like FedEx and Coca-Cola? No way! Brandin

    Duct Tape Marketing
Investopedia.com defines marketing as, “the activities of a company associated with buying and selling a product or service.” It is the way a company gains attention of an audience in order to sell and deliver goods and services. The ultimate goal of your marketing plan should be to match your products or services to the people who need and want them. For many businesses, traditional methods of advertising do not effectively provide that match-up. “Duct Tape Marketing” refers to a method of reaching your customers that comes from within your organization. Focus on win-win. Win-win means that both parties feel good about the outcome of the negotiating process. Some books that state win-win solutions are not possible in business negotiating; the authors write that someone usually gives away more than they should and the outcome becomes a win-lose situation. Great negotiators don’t believe that. They help their customer try and solve problems and look for opportunities to give as much value as possible. They also know how and when to limit their concessions, give-aways, and discounts so they can work out an agreement that is equitable for both parties.

Patience. Too many people search for the quick fix try to close the sale as fast as possible so they can move on the next prospect. Great sales negotiators recognize that patience is a virtue and that rushing the p
