Search has become such an integral element of today's Internet world and if it was to be sucked away from us at this very moment, I seriously believe the world would stop turning. I am looking for people to continue the development of a wiki-inspired search engine. Specifically community members who would like to help build people-powered search results and developers to help us build an open-source alternative for web search." In my opinion, it’s a brilliant idea. Will it stop Google in its tracks? Not anytime soon. But will it be a new way for us to search that could potentially change the way we receive more useful information? Yes, I believe so as it makes perfect sense. With the birth and success of user-based communities like MySpace and Friendster and the power of Google and other search engines, it seems like this would be a perfect match - Combining the power of a search algorithm with the editorial input of a human to drive the future of search technology.I'm excited to watch this potentially new search rival develop. I will be monitoring the Wikiasari project closely to see where this takes us and how this could potentially change the way we search for information in the future.
