Applying Positioning Strategies to Boost Profits pposed to do?As human beings we tend to label things, to generalize things, to simplify, so that we can assimilate the tons and tons of information that are being dumped our way every single waking hour. We become so good at it that it becomes a subconscious activity. To demonstrate:You won’t notice your breathing pattern (until I mentioned it), the weight of your body on your bum that is being supported by the chair (until I mentioned it), even your urge to blink right now. You just blinked didn’t you?Ok, Ok, so what has that got to do with increasing profits? Simple! We tend to shut out things that are ‘common occurrence’, ‘the norm’, and ‘the standard’ in favor of paying attention to things that stand out and are different. Knowing that, you can easily and very consciously set up your business/service/product/offer to be different than what is on the market. And when you do that, you will be guaranteed a huge jump in profits!Just think about it.There are hundreds and hundreds of Internet entrepreneurs who are promoting themselves as gurus. Only a handful are extremely successful. And those are the ones who have differentiated themselves and created a powerful positioning for themselves. For example, they positioned themselves as the product creation expert, the web copywriting expert, the teleseminar expert, the super affiliate, the Adsense specialist, blogging specialist, etc. Each of them have their own story to tell. By creating a strong differentiation and positioning, they stand out and attract attention. YOUR attention. They are no longer “another one of those”. Do they profit more than “another one of those”? Absolutely! Here’s an interesting case study: Many years back, the beauty industry in Singapore was inundated with so many beauty salons that But since my novel was just sitting on the DiskUs Publishing site and doing not Niche Marketing on Crack - Complete, Honest Review My story is that an author who’d done online writing for such dot gones as Themestream, Written By Me, and The Vines, someone trying hard to have fiction, poetry and nonfiction in print for real, recommended PublishAmerica. She claimed it was a traditional book publisher. I was struck with their slogan, “We treat writers the old fashioned way – we pay them.” Wasn’t that what publishers were supposed to do?After reading this book, I slapped myself on the forehead so hard the red mark took awhile to go away! This eBook might have that effect on you too. As you might have guessed, by the name of this article, I just finished reading the Niche Marketing on Crack eBook – and then, I just sat there - staring at my computer in disbelief. Here's why:A while ago, I ordered the Niche Marketing on Crack eBook, and like a lot of eBooks, I downloaded it and filed it in my collection, and then went about my business. A few days ago, I decided to develop a web-site for a particular niche I had found. I was trying to make decisions on those important few things that every site needs. For instance: Should it be a web-site or a blog? A blog would be easier, and Google indexes blogs a lot faster than web-sites. However, the question I had was how to make a blog Search Engine Optimized (SEO).I HAVE read most of the SEO books in my collection; and most of them pertain to web sites. So I decided it would be better to put up a web site – and then, for some reason, I put up a blog. Maybe it had to do with the fact that blogs have templates and I could get up and running much quicker using a pre-formatted template. I wanted to get started fast, so I put up a blog I think that was my reasoning. There is was one problem that I didn't know how to resolve with a blog and that is how to make it Search Engine friendly. I wanted Google would locate my new blog and the niche I wanted to target fast! I worked most of the day on the new blog, trying different things, searching for Plugins, figuring out how they worked, etc.The one thing I wanted to resolve with this blog was making the blog address look like a web-page address so I could submit it to Adwords in a decent format. I wanted the appropriate niche word displayed (which would make But since my novel was just sitting on the DiskUs Publishing site and doing not The Private Label Concept Me, and The Vines, someone trying hard to have fiction, poetry and nonfiction in print for real, recommended PublishAmerica. She claimed it was a traditional book publisher. I was struck with their slogan, “We treat writers the old fashioned way – we pay them.” Wasn’t that what publishers were supposed to do?One of the most profitable and appealing concepts ever to have been created by anyone is the Private Label concept. This concept is one where the creator of a product allows someone else to buy the right from him to re-brand his product. Once re-branded, the customer (let’s call him the “Rebrander“) can then resell it or package it with other products in any way he chooses - usually without any more payments to the original creator of the product. It’s appealing to the Rebrander because he doesn’t have to spend weeks or months or never in having to create his own products. All he has to do is pay a fee for it and he has a product within minutes that he can call his own, to make money from immediately. And it’s very profitable to the original creator of the Private Label product because there are MILLIONS of potential Rebranders out there who would pay a reasonable fee to him just to have something to make money with under their own names without putting in any creative effort. This is because we’re all lazy by nature. We weren’t born to be hardworking. We do whatever is necessary to meet certain objectives - and if we can avoid doing those things and still achieve the results we want, we would. Why not?Now someone once said that:Success Can Only Be Achieved With Hard Work.I say that:Success Is As Hard As You Want It To Be. Or It Is As Easy As You Want It To Be.Laziness is in itself not a bad thing - otherwise the computer, the car, paper, the phone, the airplane and many other great inventions would probably never have been invented. So hardships to success are best dealt with ingenuity and creativity - not hard work. Here’s a paradox:HARD WORK is EASY to do because the alternative is THINKING of alternatives for it.For some reason, thinking is very hard work But since my novel was just sitting on the DiskUs Publishing site and doing not Cold Calling - A Surprising Way To Gain Insider Information commended PublishAmerica. She claimed it was a traditional book publisher. I was struck with their slogan, “We treat writers the old fashioned way – we pay them.” Wasn’t that what publishers were supposed to do?If you knocked on all the doors in your neighborhood, you’d learn a lot about the people who live around you.Did you know that the same thing is true when you make cold calls to sales prospects?Certainly, cold calling is primarily a prospecting tool. VSA makes telephone calls every day for our clients and we open doors to sales opportunities. Sometimes our clients ask us to gather specific information to qualify leads. But, even when we implement pure appointment generation campaigns, we gain valuable market intelligence for our clients. Here are some examples of what we have learned:Competitive informationEarlier this fall, an innovative VSA client decided to enter a new market. This client believed there would be little to no competition for their services. But soon after VSA began making cold calls, we learned the truth. Companies were already using services similar to our client’s offering. In fact, the market was virtually 100% penetrated.Importantly, though, there was no single dominant competitor in the market. With this information, our client decided the challenge was to convince prospects that they are the best in the industry, and the dominant provider for the services they offer.Target industriesAnother area where clients can gain great knowledge through cold calling is identifying the ideal target industries.Cold callers are in a unique position to learn which industries:have "easy-to-reach" decision makers have greatest interest in talking about our clients' services are willing to meet with new vendors are willing to try out new or multiple providers seek back-up providers on a regular basis By calling hundreds of companies, cold callers can see industry behaviors that would not be visible by just talking to a few firms. We obs But since my novel was just sitting on the DiskUs Publishing site and doing not Pharmacist Career - Is it For You? slogan, “We treat writers the old fashioned way – we pay them.” Wasn’t that what publishers were supposed to do?Choosing the career you would like to pursue is clearly much more important than choosing what clothes to wear for that big party or what cake you want for dessert. It's definitely much harder and complicated and it's one that will directly affect your life to next five, ten or even twenty years so it must be done with care and wisdom. The healthcare industry has continued to grow over the past decade and it will continue to do so with as the American population continues to age and therefore an in demand career will definitely be that of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.Becoming a pharmacist is a noble profession but it certainly doesn't have the prestige of a brain surgeon or other medical professional titles but it's a solid career and one that more and more are turning to help ensure a good living and job security.Although pharmacists makes a decent living most pharmacists don't make what would be considered a high salary unless that attain a position in a top-level research project undertaken to make innovations in the drug industry but the responsibility and importance of a pharmacist must be underestimated and undervalued. To become a pharmacist, you must first earn a pharmacist degree from a college or university which is recognized by the Educational Board in your state and accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education or ACPE. Upon graduation, you must then pass certain examinations in order to receive a license to practice in your chosen field. The major pharmacist examinations are the North America Pharmacist License Examination or NAPLEX and the Multistate Pharmacist Jurisprudence Examination or MPJE - both are administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. You may also be required to pass additional examinations, depending on the rules in your state so it' But since my novel was just sitting on the DiskUs Publishing site and doing not Tips for Increasing Your Profits with Gift Certificates pposed to do?Offering gift certificates is an excellent way of increasing sales by solving your customers’ gift-giving problems. Often people would like to give your products as gifts, but are hesitant to choose a specific item for someone.I’m a jewelry artist, and when I realized I was losing sales to these potential customers, I started offering gift certificates – and discovered a wonderful sales tool.Wherever you sell your products – at retail locations, shows, home parties – be sure to have an eye-catching sign advertising "Gift Certificates Available in Any Amount". And tell undecided customers about it verbally, too, emphasizing the benefits of a gift certificate, and how much their recipient will enjoy choosing the exact item they want. How to Make Your Own Gift CertificatesUse your computer and printer to make special, fancy certificates using perforated paper or postcard stock you can find in office supply stores, and have matching fancy envelopes to go with them. They don’t need to cost you very much, but they should really look like a special, festive gift to give them extra appeal!Consider adding enticing photos of some of your most popular products. My gift certificates have a neat vertical border of jewelry photos on each side. Here’s the information your gift certificates should have on them:your business name and location, plus other contact infoa "To:" linea "From:" linean "Amount:" line (for the dollar amount)"custom orders welcome", if applicablethe expiration date, if you want to limit the time period the certificate can be usedthe certificate’s unique number – on your computer or by hand, print a unique number (101, 102, 103, etc., or whatever numbering works for you) on each certificate’s botto But since my novel was just sitting on the DiskUs Publishing site and doing nothing but supplying me with enough money to buy a pair of skate laces every three months, I thought maybe it would have a better chance over at PublishAmerica where it would be available as a trade size paperback both on and off-line.
