How Do I Know If I've Been Bugged?
Are you a potential target?1. If eavesdropping on anything you say, write, or do could increase someone else's wealth or influence, then the answer is yes, you are a potential target.2. Others know your confidential business or professional trade secrets. This is the most obvious indicator of covert eavesdropping activities. Theft of confidential information is a multi-billion dollar underground industry in the United States. Often the loss of your secrets will show up in very subtle ways so you should always trust your instincts in this matter. When your competitors, associates or co-workers know things that are obviously private, or the media finds out about things they should not know, then it is reasonable to suspect technical eavesdropping or bugging.<

Why would you spend money on bringing traffic to your website if you haven't spent the time and resources to ensure your image, message, and design actually make the visitors become your customers? The Benefits of Hand-held Metal Detectors
Hand-held Metal Detectors are designed to safeguard security-sensitive areas like schools, courtrooms, corrections facilities, sports events, businesses, nightclubs, bars and other public areas and events. They are used along with walk-through metal detectors. Construction crews and woodworkers also use hand-held metal detectors to find dangerous nails or other metallic debris in reclaimed building materials and trees.A recent study proves that hand-held metal detectors are just as accurate as x-rays in finding coins and other metallic objects swallowed by children. They are cheaper and radiation-free, are usually lightweight, highly sensitive and require little maintenance. The special shape of the sensitive surface makes operation of the device easy, unlike portable m
I received a guitar for my birthday last month, and this was my favorite gift. The only problem is that I've never played the guitar, and while I'm sure I have all the talent and potential to become the next Jimmy Page, effortlessly strumming Stairway To Heaven is not in the near future. So I decided to hop on Google and start searching for a guitar teacher to help initiate the learning process

I typed "Guitar Teachers" in the query window and Google returned with a number of helpful results. The link that I clicked on led to an aggregator's website called Harmony Central that provided a huge list of links to guitar teachers' websites. I followed a number of links to websites that had online instructions, guitar sales, and other promotions. I also looked up a number of retail music stores and online stores where I could buy sheet music. The interesting part of my online experience was when I browsed through websites that represented music academies, retail music stores, and online stores (exclusively selling music on the internet), I was blown away at the horrible web presence these businesses presented online. I'm also positive that all these sites were linked to actual operating businesses; I called them and confirmed their physical address and web domain

What's more surprising is that many of these sites I arrived at were made available through paid online marketing. So these businesses were actually paying search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo, and MSN), lead aggregators, and affiliates to help drive traffic to their sites. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!?! Why would you spend money on bringing traffic to your website if you haven't spent the time and resources to ensure your image, message, and design actually make the visitors become your customers? Do You Need an MBA to Run a Successful Business, or Vision?
Is a strong vision for your business more important than an MBA? Should you go to school or go to the school of hard knocks? When the cost for an MBA ranges from $15,000 to $50,000, you need to consider whether the traditional MBA program will meet your needs as a business owner.First, please keep in mind that most business school programs are not designed to teach you how to start a business, but how to contribute to running and managing an existing large company. Starting a business from scratch requires a completely different skill set.So, why even bother going to business school?Business school can provide you with some very strong theoretical skills, including the ability to read and understand financial statements, as well as understanding ma

The Internet- The Lazy Way to Make Millions!
The Internet has become as ubiquitous as the microwave and the common cockroach. In other words, it’s everywhere. Go to your local Starbucks and watch people connecting via their WiFi laptops. Many new cell phones have access and dial-up is the latest dinosaur of the past. Today, broadband is almost mandatory. Email is the newest social security number as it’s nearly assigned at birth. With all that connectivity, there are the spammers, con artists, and less-than-honest marketers, trying to make a buck off the Internet. They prey those seeking quick roads to wealth and help spread the word about cheap ways to set up a web store. On the other hand, I represent the opposite spectrum. I run a legitimate, home-based web business doing e-commerce and I am investing a lot of money

Does Your Business Plan Ease These Investor Concerns?
Business investors are sensitive to at least three major constraints when evaluating business plans. I call these constraints The Three R’s: reality, readiness, and resources.RealityMany creative entrepreneurs with ideas for scientific breakthroughs have ended up frustrated with business investors who just don’t seem to “get it.” The truth is, however, that it’s the entrepreneur who’s not getting it.Unlike creativity or scientific breakthroughs, starting or expanding a business requires the entrepreneur be keenly aware of their customers, competition, and core competencies.Creativity and scientific breakthroughs often disregard the customer, the competition, or a company’s core competencies, which is why they are usually risky and often requi

Why would you spend money on bringing traffic to your website if you haven't spent the time and resources to ensure your image, message, and design actually make the visitors become your customers? Let me give you an idea of what I saw and why I'm so horrified. The following is a list of some of the aesthetic problems I experienced while browsing these sites.

    Missing Identity
A website would simply have no logo at all.

    Inappropriate Identity
The identity was obviously not designed by a business savvy graphic artist for the appropriate target market.

    Inconsistent Color Scheme

Colors and fonts throughout the website are not standardized and do not compliment the identity.

    Low Quality Images

The identity appears as low resolution pictures and graphics.

    Generic Fonts

Headings do not stand out because they are in standard system fonts.

    Template Look
The site looks generic because it is obviously a template.

    Website Pixel Size

Website appears in a small portion of the screen because it is not formatted for modern screen resolution standards.

    More Layout Problems

Missing or inconsistent graphics, diagrams, text, broken links, etc.

    Quick Tips:

Make your identity apparent on your website.
This will help to create and reinforce brand recognition. With time, your logo/branding/identity will be ingrained in the minds of your visitors leading to improved awareness of your business while also creating an indirect relationship with your clien
