Celebrating The Life Of Oskar Shindler
The life of Schindler has so much relevance in today’s multi polar world. He was no Gandhi or Mandela, nor did him resembled Christ or Buddha. Rather, he was a deeply flawed man. He was a Nazi and a war profiteer. A compulsive womaniser, he was frequently disloyal to his wife. After the war, he even abandoned her in Argentina to return to Germany. An incurable spendthrift,he lost millions in his pursuit of the good life. When he died, he was penniless... Yet, at a time when far more moral men and women had been caught up in Hitler's xenophobia or reduced to being mere spectators to what was happening by their own fear, this man answered the call of conscience.

Survivor, of Sorts
This week's events brought back some chilling memories for me-not something I wanted to be pulled out of the archives. Tragedy is scary, no matter who it hits or where they're from.

Aftermath of the Virginia Tech Shootings - Spotlight Campus Mental Health
If regular, open and candid discussions about mental health were going on in living rooms, schools and boardrooms across the country- if people recognized the urgency in and were just as comfortable with seeking professional help for depression, anxiety, stress and rage as they were for things like diabetes, heart disease and cancer, perhaps tragedies like the one that occurred on the Virginia Tech Campus could be averted in the future.

Two Ways Our Newspapers Are Committing Suicide
Newspapers pursue political agenda instead of truth or profit. A second problem is that the media unthinkingly support an educational establishment that is busy dumbing down its students, thereby diminishing the number of people who will buy and read newspapers.
